University of Tehran Solar Car Team

The University of Tehran Solar Car Team was formed in November 2004. It all started by an idea! Design and built a solar car and take part in a challenge! Eight brilliant students from the School of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Tehran formed a team under the supervision of Prof. K. Abrinia and built the first solar car ever in Iran and the Middle East.

The team so far has designed and built 3 solar cars (Persian Gazelle I, II and III). Persian Gazelle III is a four wheeled, two seater car with two BLDC electric motors on the raer wheels designed and built by a group of 25 students.
